Job description

This well-established site has engaged in a large capital program of works and are hiring key positions to deliver across the various projects onsite. This business is a well-known leader in the beverage industry and this plant is their largest producer globally. Outside of the manufacturing operation the site houses a number of Global Platform Leads and is very visible within the international network.

As an Automation expert you will join a project delivery group to advise on and oversee the direction of plant systems and integrating new equipment into the network.

This is initially a 12-month contract.

The Role

As a key member of the automation team, you will work closely within a project delivery group. This is an individual contributor position, and you will be responsible for delivering an upgrade project for the site across core areas. This is a challenging position, and the ideal candidate will have experience completing a similar equipment upgrade in their career to date.

  • Reporting into the Senior Manager - Automation; this position sits within a larger team of Engineers and will then specifically work within one of three dedicated project delivery groups.
  • Work collaboratively within this group and liaise with on-site teams in order to deliver this project effectively.
  • Be involved with the detailed design and all initial documentation as required.
  • Carry out data formatting and hook-ups for the new equipment.
  • You will support the resolution of deviations; running investigations across equipment issues, system failures and under-performance ensuring root cause analysis is carried out, a solution is delivered, and corrective actions are implemented across the systems and equipment.

The Person

  • Technical Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or computer science with a minimum of 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within a project orientated role preferable in a regulated manufacturing site.
  • Be highly collaborative and demonstrate an ability to complete project tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Technical stack must include - Alan Bradley Control Logix & PLC5 programming essential, knowledge of control networks essential, RSView SE, iFix or Intouch SCADA configuration.
