Job description

Our client is a global leader in the biotech industry sector with expanding operations across multiple international markets. They are seeking a Senior Director of Operations who will be responsible for providing leadership to the cross functional process teams within parenteral production areas.

The Role

  • You will report directly to the VP Site Head and sit within the site leadership team with direct remit for utilising various resources and teams to ensure manufacturing standards are met.
  • Operating as a key leadership stakeholder ensuring quality and operational excellence across all functions.
  • Leading the parenteral flow operations providing leadership and development to your team creating long term succession and progression opportunities for the facility.
  • Meeting performance objectives while maintaining a safe work environment, leading safety initiatives and supporting all HSE company goals.
  • Ensuring the function is operating in a capable capacity with respect to corporate objectives including Capa, Lean and OSSCE.
  • Supporting the site with new product pipeline and commercial launches
  • You will support with the design of the manufacturing control strategy for formulation, filling, and visual inspection.
  • Taking action to reduce variability and improve performance within your area of responsibility.
  • Leading and facilitating the implementation of projects for the facility
  • Working closely with all internal and external stakeholders across the organisations global network.
  • Working towards the development of an inclusive site culture through DEI initiatives and talent engagement.

The Person

  • You will be a leader with relevant experience in parenteral manufacturing operations, who is skilled at leading site operations.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing controls with at least 3 years in a site leadership position.
  • Strong decision making and people development skills.
  • Proven ability to solve problems with a solution orientated mindset.
  • Strong understanding of basic regulatory requirements including FDA, EMEA, OSHA and EPA
  • An enthusiastic growth mindset.
