Job description
HRM has partnered with a leading global diagnostics business who are committed to improving the health and well being of people all over the world by developing, producing, and providing innovative healthcare services and solutions in more than 110 countries. With over 80,000 employees globally, and over $40 billion in revenue per annum, this business operates in multiple divisions including Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Diagnostics. Within it's Diagnostics Division, there has been significant investment over the last 12 months which is set to continue into 2025. Based in the West of Ireland, the site has undergone some strategic expansion and increased the size of the team locally.
Due to legal transfer and global harmonisation projects, a growing R&D and quality operation is being developed here. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Program Manager to support global projects. You will oversee programs through the R&D arc into product launch, maintaining the schedule, project parameters and key milestones.
The Role
- Acts as a global leader for cross-functional NPI project teams: managing activities from development to commercialisation with a particular focus on product launch execution.
- Ensure the successful roll-out of product to market through highly collaborative engagement with key stakeholders
- Liaise closely with Operations/Supply Chain/Regional Marketing/Regulatory/R&D and Quality functions ensuring all related deliverables are defined and tracked to completion.
- Translate the business strategy into project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Draft the NPI project timeline and hold the team accountable for meeting critical milestones; highlight opportunities for acceleration; clearly communicate project delays and escalations when required.
- Lead and support the Project Teams, coordinated the execution of all activities required for launch.
- Keep open lines of communication for all Project Plans and changes to project stakeholders.
- Prioritise work and resources to best meet the business unit's priorities
- Report on time execution of launch activities effectively.
The Person
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and over 7 years of experience in Project Management, specifically overseeing R&D operations or NPI manufacturing operations.
- A professional certification such as PMP is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in program management of new products through the development life-cycle process.
- Knowledge of the diagnostics industry sector is very advantageous.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization with diverse geographical environments.
- Impactful leadership skills with the ability to resolve issues and breakdowns in a timely and effective manner.
