Job description

Our client is a global FMCG business. Due to continued global expansion, they are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Operations Executive to join their leadership team as a Global Head of Technical Operations.

The role

  • You will report directly to the global COO leading a team of 700+ supply chain and quality professionals within a matrix operation.
  • Supporting and driving the strategic projects including a global QMS rollout, physical infrastructure development and business expansion across multiple geographical locations.
  • Creating a comprehensive group quality and operations program to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • You will provide leadership at all levels across operations and technical functions including coaching and succession planning.
  • Building key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders creating a trusting leadership team collaboration across all functions.
  • influencing the acquisition strategy of the group and lead the integration of the operations, distribution, quality, and shared services functions of new acquisitions post completion.
  • Overseeing the rollout of standard IT platforms including ERP and WMS across the warehousing network
  • Overseeing and providing guidance on the plan around consolidation of existing sites and the relocation of projects to new sites as required across the group.
  • Creating an environment of right first time in everything that you do through a focus on principles of lean, including simplification, standard work, visual management, and a learning organisation.

The Person

  • A senior leader with extensive experience in a global FMCG or similar regulated industry sector across manufacturing, supply chain, or quality operations.
  • Proven leader with demonstrated experience in developing people and teams within a matrix global operation.
  • Ability to work cross functionally, focusing on business objectives and targets while embracing a flexible work culture.
  • A strong understanding of global supply chain and logistics operations.
  • You will have the ability to work autonomously with a self-starter mindset and the ability to drive change through effective leadership.
