Job description

HRM Search has exclusively partnered with a leading Indigenous organisation to appoint a Senior HR Manager in Cork. This is a 10 month maternity leave assignment which will commence in late November. Due to continued growth and appetite for continuous improvement, the successful appointee will have the opportunity to drive and implement change throughout the course of their assignment. There is a total of 550 employees with the remit for this position covering circa 150 staff.

The Position

  • Reporting to the Managing Director, lead and develop the HR function, including resourcing, workforce planning, and implementing an empowering culture.
  • Drive internal HR process improvements and partner on key strategic projects.
  • Collaborate with leaders to define and implement HR solutions, providing consultation, coaching, and supporting team-based work.
  • Manage the full HR lifecycle, enhance the graduate program, and establish technical career paths.
  • Implement the new HRIS which has been selected.
  • Design and implement training programs aligned with strategy, oversee training plans and refine the appraisal process.
  • Coach managers on team development and training needs.
  • Implement the new talent management framework, enhance performance management and succession planning, and manage job redesign.
  • Lead succession plan reviews, identifying talent pipeline and performance risks.

  • Lead organisation redesign to develop leadership roles within the business.
  • Continue to develop the successful DEI strategy.

The Person

  • Qualifications in Business Management/HR and 15+ years of relevant experience, ideally CIPD membership.
  • Proven HR leadership in strategy development, talent development, employee engagement, and compensation structures.
  • Strong HR leadership, change management, and coaching skills with excellent communication and a solution-focused attitude.
  • Has a hands on approach to their work while also providing high-level strategy- acts as a Player/Manager
  • Must have tenured experience of working within a scaling Irish organisation.
  • This is a Cork-based role with monthly travel to Dublin (1-2 times per month). If Dublin-based, there is a requirement to travel to Cork on a weekly basis.
