A global pharmaceutical organisation with a significant footprint in Ireland is recruiting an Electrical Engineer for their flagship manufacturing site in Wicklow. This is one of several operations the business run here and is in a phase of expansion. This role has become available due to an internal restructuring and sits within the site projects team.

The Position

As a key member of the site maintenance team, you will report to the Utilities & Sustainability Lead and be responsible for the site's electrical systems.

• Champion and lead the ongoing compliance and adherence to all electrical work.
• Review Capital Project Appropriation submission requests for all electrical work
• associated with new projects.
• Oversight and maintenance of the site's Electrical infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain the site's Electrical standards.
• Ownership of Electrical drawings and records.

The Person

• A degree in Electrical Engineering is essential.
• At least 5 years experience in a similar role in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment plus exposure to Electrical installations within an ATEX environment.
• Experienced in similar roles within the Pharmaceutical/Chemical industry, the candidate will have a proven track record of consistent high performance and delivery in a complex, global, and matrixed environment.
• Deep understanding of GMP and the Quality standards required in the API Manufacturing sector.
• Understanding of ATEX and Machinery Directives and statutory requirements.
