Job description

Our client is a large manufacturing site specialising in infant nutritional products for export markets. Due to expansion, they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their facilities team.

The Position

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and implementing engineering and facilities projects. You will lead and oversee project teams from inception through execution and handover, ensuring all deliverables align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project budgets, timelines, and execution.
  • Ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS, and International Global Standards.
  • Overseeing contractors and maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Driving efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, QA, HR, and Finance.
  • Conducting regular site audits to ensure project quality and compliance.

The Person

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Construction (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering or project management role.
  • Proven ability to manage capital investment projects, budgets, and teams.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project planning, documentation, and adherence to GMP standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
