They are now seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team and contribute to their commitment to excellence and innovation. Their aggressive acquisition strategy and dedication to quality have expanded the company's presence to four facilities in Ireland, including a new state-of-the-art facility in Galway.

The Position
- Apply advanced engineering principles to diverse and complex projects.
- Develop innovative solutions to complex challenges and lead projects to enhance technological capabilities.
- Plan and execute engineering projects with significant impact on major programs.
- Originate and review engineering documents such as protocols, reports, specifications, and work instructions.
- Investigate and interpret technological and business trends to recommend best practices.
- Evaluate, develop, and implement new technologies of significant scope and complexity.
- Identify and procure new equipment and technologies of substantial complexity and cost.
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS), FDA regulations, and other safety, environmental, and security standards.
- Champion quality by embedding it in engineering practices and contributing to corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead cross-functional teams or projects with moderate risk and resource requirements.
- Supervise and mentor up to 4-5 technicians or associate engineers, fostering professional growth and best practices.
- Champion systems and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Promote a Manufacturing Excellence culture.
- Build and maintain relationships across various business units and locations.
- Deploy subject matter expertise across organizations, occasionally requiring travel.
- Support Manufacturing Excellence and Market-Focused Innovation strategies.
The Person
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical field is required. A Master's or Doctorate is preferred.
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in engineering or technical roles, recognised as a subject matter expert in your field.
- Strong foundation in technical problem-solving and methodologies, with training or certifications in techniques such as 6-Sigma (Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred), 8D, RCA, 5-Why, or PMP.
- Proven ability to observe, analyse, and resolve complex technical challenges, delivering impactful results in productivity, technical capabilities, or competitive differentiation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading team activities and mentoring less experienced associates.
