Job description

HRM have been retained by a global organisation with a recognisable and established brand and ambitious business strategy. Currently hiring an Interim HR Director to support the Ireland remit, this role will ensure the right, leadership, culture and organisation model in place and the right talent with the required skills and capabilities to brilliantly execute the strategy. The HRD's role is to partner with the business, to challenge and support in equal measure; to help strategically shape the future organisation to deliver the biggest possible performance outcomes at optimal cost and in the most efficient and effective way.

The role holder will also be accountable for continuing to drive transformation initiatives and change programmes across the Ireland business that are unprecedented and will transform the landscape of how the business operates. The purpose of the HRD role is to partner effectively with the Ireland LT and the broader stakeholders to drive the short and long-term growth agenda, to delivering sustainable commercial success of the Ireland business and ensure a viable workforce and workplace for the future. The HRD will also support delivery of pan European initiatives when required.

The Person

  • Deliver Talent Strategy and orchestrate resources in the market and globally to deliver the strategy including talent forecasting, succession pipelines, talent acquisition, talent engagement, commercial capability and learning and development plans.
  • Drive the delivery of annual Organisational Effectiveness plans, deploying global and market design principles such as spans of control.
  • Be a key thought leader in the OE agenda, identifying and provoking opportunities to simplify, develop productivity, create efficiencies, and facilitate the improved effectiveness of the business.
  • Within Talent plans, develop a High-Performance culture, including metrics, tracking people development to empower performance through adherence to performance management standards and tools.
  • Deliver Diversity Plans across Ireland, specifically metrics of gender and ethnicity representation goals, delivery of manager capability, execution of Workday reporting, deploying non-bias recruiting initiatives such as diverse candidate shortlists.

Experience

  • 15+ years in HR roles, 5+ years within multinational companies leading all areas of the HR function.
  • Degree qualified, preferably in HR or Business or a related discipline.
  • Bring best practice external thinking into talent management and planning, with the ability to develop actionable strategies.
  • Be a superb change agent experienced in driving and executing transformation in partnership with senior leaders, delivering enhanced business performance outcomes.
  • Highly commercial with a strong understanding of a P&L, specifically direct and indirect overhead management with the ability to engage in business development discussions with significant credibility.
  • Entrepreneurial (courageous and capable of managing ambiguity) with an innate curiosity to understand what drives the business, adds value through bringing an external perspective.
