Job description

This is a standout opportunity to join Ireland's top-rated retail employer - proudly recognised as Ireland's Top Retailer by Great Place to Work, a Best Workplace for Women, and one of Europe's 75 Best Large Workplaces. Award-winning and widely admired, our client is known for being people-first, purpose-driven, and proudly inclusive.

HRM Search Partners are now seeking a passionate and creative Engagement & Internal Communications Specialist to help shape how this organisation connects, celebrates, and communicates with its 1,600-strong team across Ireland. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role - perfect for someone who can turn bold ideas into unforgettable moments and bring a culture of engagement to life.

The Position

This is not your average comms job. You'll lead the full engagement strategy across the business - owning key touchpoints like internal communications, company-wide recognition initiatives, and their flagship colleague events, including their legendary annual conference (450+ attendees, very large budget).

You'll be the driving force behind initiatives that boost morale, shape culture, and build a sense of belonging - whether through creative campaigns, recognition programmes, or standout events. You'll work closely with the CPO and senior leadership team to ensure that their values and voice are reflected in everything we say and do.

  • Designing & delivering the Engagement Strategy, ensuring alignment with their Great Place to Work goals and business priorities.
  • Owning all Internal Communications channels and platforms - from crafting regular updates and campaigns to enabling leaders to communicate with impact.
  • Planning and executing major colleague events, including annual conference, with full ownership of a largescale budget.
  • Creating wow moments that celebrate their people - from local recognition initiatives to business-wide celebrations.
  • Driving colleague connection, bringing values to life and building a culture of inclusion, appreciation, and pride.
  • Working cross-functionally, partnering with HR, Operations, and Marketing to align messaging and support wider projects and change initiatives.
  • Continuously innovating, keeping the engagement and comms fresh, relevant, and forward-thinking.

The Person

  • Proven track record in employee engagement, culture or internal communications roles - ideally within a multi-site or fast-paced retail environment.
  • Creative and confident storyteller - someone who can grab attention and bring stories and strategies to life.
  • Strong event planning and project management experience, including managing large-scale events and budgets.
  • Natural relationship builder with excellent influencing skills and the confidence to present to senior stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with comms tools (e.g. Workplace, Poppulo, Canva, Mailchimp, SharePoint - or similar).
  • Passionate about colleague experience and creating a workplace where people thrive.
  • Flexible, proactive, and full of ideas - you'll roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.

The Benefits

  • Hybrid working (3 days on-site and 2 from home)
  • Annual Bonus Scheme
  • Generous Colleague Discount
  • Company Pension
  • Wellness & Mental Health Initiatives
  • Paid Parental Leave & Sick Pay
  • Discounted Private Healthcare
  • Flexi-Wage - Choose your own pay cycle!
