Job description
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Ireland's leading Food Service providers as they embark on a journey to double the size of their Northern Ireland business over the next five years. Head of Commercial for Northern Ireland will play a pivotal role in the strategic growth of the business and be part of the Commercial Leadership Team. This dynamic role will involve innovating, investing in people, products, and solutions, and cultivating key stakeholder relationships.
The Role
- As the Head of Commercial you will be at the forefront of the Northern Ireland business and driving advancement through continuous innovation, investments in people, products, solutions and technological capabilities.
- Providing critical insights by offering local marketing intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer feedback, and representing the company in Northern Ireland.
- Collaborating with the Commercial Leadership Team and internal stakeholders to optimise the organisation's commercial strategy in target markets.
- Leading the ongoing positive transformation and growth of the Northern Ireland business, with a specific focus on the growth of independent ventures and responding to emerging food trends and technological advancements.
- Cultivating and strengthening key relationships to enhance our reputation and standing in Northern Ireland.
The Person
- A strong and local knowledge of the Northern Irish marketplace.
- Competencies in Commercial Awareness, Quality Orientation, Drive and Resilience, Leadership and Strategic Thinking, Planning and Organisation, and Communication.
- 7+ years of senior level experience in FMCG/Foodservice, with a proven track record of implementing successful commercial strategies.
- An ambitious, high-energy professional with a creative mindset and the ability to excel in a rapidly evolving, high-growth business environment, along with "feet on the street" knowledge of Northern Ireland.
- Experience in developing and implementing customer segment-specific and geographically specific plans for growing market share.
- The ability to deliver and drive effective commercial strategies, along with strong team management skills and the capacity to lead from the front while influencing at senior level.
